Author(s): Åžtefan Simion   Gheorghe Sajin   Florea Crăciunoiu

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the results obtained in modeling and technological realization for a CPW (CoPlanar Waveguide) zeroth-order resonating antenna and a coupled-line directional coupler, based on CRLH (Composite Right/Left-Handed) transmission line. The CRLH consists of series connected CPW interdigital capacitors and parallel connected CPW transmission lines. Both circuits were fabricated on silicon substrate in order to have a subsequent integration in a more complex circuit.

Keywords: composite right/left-handed transmission line, antennas, directional coupler, coplanar waveguides, silicon.
