Title: Study on Percussive Operation of a Plan Mechanism with Perpendicular Displacements

Abstract: Many applications in the automation and robotics include mechanisms with discontinuous action under the effect of friction forces. Most often, the contact of mobile elements of this mechanism is percussive, being accompanied by a significant loss of energy. Some aspects of these contacts are investigated in specialized papers [1, 2, 3] This article analyses a particular mechanism with percussive operation and dry friction, by using the perpendicular and tangential percussion and the reaction of percussion [1]. Based on a percussive phenomena model, we obtain a calculus algorithm that will be useful for analyzing and designing this kind of mechanisms.
